<p><p>We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer (Backend) to design, build, and scale backend services powering our next-generation Credit Cards platform.
In this role, you will lead system architecture design, deliver high-performing backend applications, and mentor engineering teams while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver world-class digital solutions.</p><br/><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><br/><p>- Design and implement complex backend applications with Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, Angular, and related frameworks</p><br/><p>- Define system architecture and create scalable, extensible solution designs</p><br/><p>- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to evaluate multiple approaches and deliver optimal solutions</p><br/><p>- Own code quality : write clean, testable code, automate feature testing, and contribute to UI testing frameworks</p><br/><p>- Act as subject matter expert for backend and middleware services supporting mobile applications</p><br/><p>- Deploy high-quality, secure, and performant solutions into production environments</p><br/><p>- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing</p><br/><p><b>What Were Looking For :</b></p><br/><p>- Strong technical instincts with the ability to choose the right tools, frameworks, and approaches for each challenge</p><br/><p>- Curiosity and passion for continuous learning, staying updated with emerging technologies</p><br/><p>- Comfort working in ambiguous environments, with the ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and define clear, iterative solutions</p><br/><p>- A collaborative mindsetconfident but humble, open to feedback, and focused on collective success</p><br/><p>- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment</p><br/><p>- Proven passion for technology (e.g., personal projects, open-source contributions)</p><br/><p>- Commitment to DevOps practices, cloud-first solutions (AWS/Azure), and agile development</p><br/><p><b>Basic Qualifications :</b></p><br/><p>- B.S. / M.S. in Computer Science or related discipline</p><br/><p>- 6+ years of backend engineering experience using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and related frameworks</p><br/><p>- 2+ years building internet-facing services at scale</p><br/><p>- 2+ years working with AWS and/or OpenShift</p><br/><p>- Strong knowledge of OOP, software engineering principles, databases, and parallel programming</p><br/><p>- Experience integrating APIs with frontend/mobile frameworks</p><br/><p>- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills</p><br/><p><b>Preferred Qualifications :</b></p><br/><p>- Experience with Apache Cordova</p><br/><p>- Knowledge of native mobile development (iOS/Android)</p><br/><p>- Hands-on experience deploying applications in Kubernetes-based containers</p><br/><p>- Background in Agile and SCRUM methodologies</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
